Program Areas

In partnership with community-based and national organizations, Children First's current operations focus on gaps in the provision of services to three groups of highly vulnerable children including children who are infected with HIV and AIDS, street children / children living outside the family environment, and child survivors of abuse.

Children First seeks to mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS in Zimbabwe by developing and improving on proven models of care and support for orphans and vulnerable children. The project leverages the experience of national and community-based organizations to increase and improve access to quality care and support services for orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe. Children First also provides technical and financial support to its partners to provide services and undertake advocacy activities for initiatives benefiting orphans and vulnerable children as well as community-to-community learning among partners.
